Portimão Sun Sailing Team Academy, with the support of Iate Clube Marina de Portimão
and Marina de Portimão is a sailing academy that offers both national and international
sailors the opportunity to practise – at a match race level - in Portimão, Algarve
– Portugal. We also develop incentives and training programs for companies.
It owes its foundation to Justino Manuel de Sá Machado, who has the experience of
organizing, for the last seven years, several masculine and feminine events in Portugal
and Brazil.
The men’s races disclosed in this event are a stage of World Match Racing Tour and
the women’s belong to Category 1 of ISAF (International Sailing Federation). This
bet in a women’s match race has already proven right as it has been approved as
an Olympic sport.
This academy based on a six SM40 fleet and possessing all the surrounding logistics,
allows multiple training programs throughout the year.
